Hey, I'm August! I've spent 15+ years as a competitive player and coach, from high school and JUCO through Division I and professional ball in Sweden and Portugal. I hold a Master's degree in Research of Exercise Science from Northumbria University, where my thesis explored Empowering Coaching, building winning cultures through self-determination, autonomy, and selflessness. I coach players of every age and level, from beginners to high school and college athletes, with a special love for the 4 and 5 spots, though I'm comfortable teaching any position. Every lesson starts with a conversation about your goals and a skill assessment, so we build a plan around exactly what you need. Let's get to work!

I bring 15+ years of experience as a competitive player and coach across high school, junior college, Division I, and professional levels, including playing at Illinois State University and professionally in Sweden and Portugal. I hold a Master's degree in Research of Exercise Science from Northumbria University, where my thesis focused on the sport psychology theory of Empowering Coaching. More specifically, how to develop winning team cultures and successful individual players by promoting individual self-determination, team autonomy, and selflessness. I work with players of all ages and levels, from kids learning the foundations to high school and college-level athletes looking to sharpen their skills. I have a passion for teaching the 4 and 5 positions, but I'm well-versed in teaching all positions and skill sets.
