Everything, (and I mean EVERYTHING!!) else is second to that. Without understanding your body and brain's need for nutrition and movement you will fall into a pit of doom and despair...
No matter how old you are it's not too late to learn what you need to eat to be healthy. And seriously why don't you know? Too much conflicting information? Eggs aren't healthy, eggs are the perfect health food. Coconut is unhealthy, coconut is a miracle food. intermittent fasting is the new short-cut to being thin, intermittent fasting is why your body holds on to fat. Yeah, I know it's confusing!
What's healthy for one person isn't healthy for everyone. So, what if your DNA has markers that made some things healthy for you but not your sibling? This becomes clearer after age 50 when your body starts to slow-down and break-down.
Here are some truths that I know as a Nutrition Coach:
What you eat today, affects your microbiome tomorrow.
Eating is a habit, you eat the same things, you cook the same things, your order the same meals at the same restaurants all the time, and this is not healthy.
You refuse to learn to cook, like it's someone else's responsibility to feed you, what are you 2 years old? If you eat you should know how to cook.
If you are depending on restaurants for your health, you are sadly barking up the wrong tree.
If you chose to focus on being healthy instead of your weight, you will lose or gain the weight that your vanity has got you obsessed with.
You know that you're not drinking enough water! no seriously you're not!!
What if you know that you're not eating healthy, and you still chose the same foods that your brain knows isn't right for you, like a disobedient child, just what if....
Eating your biggest meal, with the most calories, at the end of the day is the wrong time to load your digestive system.
There are empty calories, calories that contain little or no nutritional value: chips; ice cream; well desserts in general. But before you get all sad and weird fresh ripe fruit is made to be dessert! Or part of your breakfast! Or BOTH!!
As it takes :20 minutes for food to reach your stomach, and so it takes that long for it to register in your brain to stop eating, you benefit from measuring your foods and to stop eating before you feel satisfied.

I offer Nutrition Coaching online, with support tailored to your life-style routine and the foods you enjoy. I help people create a healthy and satisfying way of eating that fits their nutritional needs with practical support for energy, sleep, digestion, and everyday food decisions. As a Chef and Certified Nutrition Coach, I bring food knowledge and coaching together with the pleasure of eating through my good2eat4U Program. I use scientifically proven knowledge to support your eating habit and balanced meal-timing which affects the brain and gut microbiome, hormones, and the resulting strong regeneration of healthy cells. My coaching brings your subconscious eating into conscious-eating utilizing the support you need which can include recipes, meal prep, restaurant menu guidance, shopping suggestions, macronutrient tracking, and a daily diary. We also use a digital scale, in the three month program, and a free app to review your body's data and make the plan concrete. This program establishes exactly what 'eating healthy' is for you, dictated by your body's response to the food that you eat.
