Everything Gabe offers

Gabe is AMAZING!!! I've been working with him for over a year and he has taken my voice to a place I never imagined it could go. A truly professional teacher and musician, he started with me on the nuts and bolts of breath, really focusing on the mechanics of how to make my voice work, and we've moved through pitch and tone and into truly filling each song with emotional intent and expression. I started out thinking I just wanted to be on key and not wear my voice out, but Gabe is pushing me to a level I didn't even understand there was. I had to unlearn all the bad habits I'd accrued over the years. He's been great at identifying the subtle modifications I need to make to really optimize my sound. I didn't think I'd ever really be successful at playing live, but I have a few times and have big plans for the future. I've also massively improved my studio cuts. I feel SO lucky I found him!

I'm working with Gabe on the piano. The hardest part of learning is articulating exactly what it is you want to learn, how you are going to get there and how you measure that progress. Gabe helps you work all this out in an informal structure and the relaxed nature of the lessons let you enjoy the music. One of the very first things Gabe said to me was "You don't have to get a lot better. Just be a little better every day." It's great advice for the piano, work and every aspect of life. Having said that: Google could be in trouble if Gabe lives that advice too - they would need to add a 6th star for future reviews. Thanks for all your help, Gabe. Gabe has been an incredible teacher over the past few months. I have never played piano before, but I am gaining so much confidence and motivation with each lesson. Gabe has such a wealth of musical knowledge from his wide range of experience; I would recommend his services for anyone who is brand new to someone looking to refine their skills. He is patient and kind, yet provides structure and holds you accountable. I am a busy adult who lives in a small mountain town with little access to in person instructors, and so I am glad that I found Gabe, who offers extremely effective instruction via Zoom and works with my schedule. He made me realize it is never too late to start a learning a new skill!

Gabe is extremely professional, he’s been in the music industry so long and has had an impressive career from what I can gather. He gave me one tip that is already helping me relieve tension in my singing. I’ve been to a few singing teachers who had not gone over the importance of the diaphragm and how to actually use it properly. He’s 100% worth the price, if you have a teacher who doesn’t understand the importance of fundamentals you’ll end up waisting money, so I am happy to pay the price for Gabe.

I am a music teacher (piano) who was looking to improve my vocal skills. Gabe is an excellent teacher. Because of his vast knowledge and experience base, he is able to tailor his lessons to fit each individual student. He challenges his students to try new skills, while also being patient and encouraging. My vocal range, pitch and breathing techniques have all improved since taking lessons from Gabe. Highly recommend!

I started out feeling unconfident and weak in my higher notes. Fairly quickly I developed more strength in my voice in that range. Felt like I really improved in only a few lessons. I have enjoyed learning and Gabe has been very kind and encouraging every step of the way. I still have a long way to go but I think I can keep improving under his tutelage.
