Jeff Zinn

I have had the pleasure of knowing Jeff since 2014, when we met at the Resilience Center in Aurora, CO. The center was established to support Columbine survivors and anyone else who needed help navigating difficult times in their lives. Jeff was teaching a class on mindfulness and the Four Agreements. He emphasized the importance of staying in the present moment as a way to cope with everything happening around us and in our lives. The Four Agreements is a book that offers a practical code of conduct, helping people eliminate unnecessary suffering and discover personal freedom, true happiness, and love. Jeff was passionate about teaching and genuinely wanted to help everyone who attended his class. He engaged us in discussions and activities to illustrate the significance of being present. To this day, I apply the Four Agreements that he taught in that class to my life. Recently, I had the opportunity to take a pickleball class with Jeff. What I appreciated most was how he continued to encourage us to be present with every shot. Once a play was completed, he urged us to reset and return to the present moment. I have observed that in every endeavor Jeff undertakes, he gives it his all. He covered everything we needed to get started — serves, stances, basic rules, and best practices — and managed to make it all feel approachable and fun. What stood out most was how thorough he was without ever making us feel like we were in a lecture. He met us right where we were, kept the energy light, and made sure we actually understood what we were doing and why. By the end of the session, we weren't just going through the motions — we felt like we had a real foundation to build on. If you're a beginner looking for a coach who's patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely nice, Jeff is your guy.

I had an excellent experience working with Jeff. He truly exceeded my expectations in every way. In just a few lessons, I saw noticeable improvement in my skills and confidence on the court. I started as a beginner and quickly progressed to a 3.0 level, which I didn’t think would be possible in such a short time. Jeff is not only highly knowledgeable, but also patient, encouraging, and very attentive to detail. He explains techniques clearly and tailors each lesson to focus on what you specifically need to improve. His coaching style makes learning both effective and enjoyable. I am a beginner to this fun sport and I had my first lesson with Jeff this week and I got more from the experience than expected! I had an excellent experience with Jeff and his coaching approach using the Tao of Pickelball method. I found Jeff highly intuitive and responsive to how I needed to be coached, he kept it fun, focused and at my pace. I look forward to working with Jeff over the next several months to get me moving and playing on the court!
