He covered everything from the tee to putting, and surprisingly, pointed out things I wouldn’t have noticed myself. He's patient and quite knowledgeable, which helped me feel comfortable. Though I still need to work on my body position and consistency, I’m optimistic about improving. Still, it’s a clear sign I should keep practicing and book another lesson with him. > From Daniel, 5 out of 5 > Josh has been such a great golf instructor. I started with knowing nothing and with consistent lessons I have improved so much that I am surprised at where I am at 3 months later. He is super patient and calm, and gives tons of feedback and drills when he notices movements that can be improved on. After every lesson I always feel great about my improvements and know what to work on. Excited to continue my lessons! > From Jenny, 5 out of 5 > Joshua is an incredible coach. He did an assessment of my swing and mechanics and knew right away how to improve it. He really is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to getting the ball where it needs to go. My game grows exponentially with every lesson because Joshua is great at breaking down movements and relaying concepts in a clear, easy to understand way. He is essential to me becoming a better golfer > From Desmond, 5 out of 5 > Really, I appreciated how the tempo of the lesson let me grasp the drills Josh was explaining, which made it easier to practice and execute them well. Though I hope he keeps focusing on areas I need help with, similar to what he's done in the last couple of lessons. If you’re looking for a steady approach that encourages understanding and improvement without rushing, Josh’s lessons are worth trying. > From Robert, 5 out of 5 > As a first-time golf learner, I couldn’t have asked for a better coach than Joshua. He’s incredibly patient and knows exactly how to teach beginners. He breaks down the basics in a way that’s easy to understand and ensures that you build good habits from the start. Joshua is very supportive and always encourages improvement, which has made learning golf a fun and rewarding experience. > From Yao, 5 out of 5 > Honestly, Joshua's lesson was quite helpful. He focused on specific aspects of my swing, which felt pretty good. His teaching style is calm but encouraging, though I’d like to see him push a little more for growth. Still, I’m optimistic about improving further and you might find his approach pretty effective if you’re looking for steady, intelligent guidance. > From Max, 5 out of 5 > Josh was an amazing instructor for my first golf lesson. He made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He was patient, encouraging, and really helped build my confidence. I learned so much in just one session and actually had fun doing it. Highly recommend him to anyone, especially beginners! > From Stephanie, 5 out of 5 > I loved how Joshua helped me dial in my wedge game fast with clear, simple tips. My short game feels more confident and consistent after just one lesson. If you want to improve quickly and get straightforward advice, I’d definitely recommend trying his lessons. It’s a great way to boost your short game! ⛳️ > From Ruben, 5 out of 5 ## Pages on this site - [Home](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/index.md) - [All services](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/services/index.md) - [Golf Lessons](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/lessons) - [Private Lessons](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/private-lessons/index.md) - [Lessons in Carson](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/carson) - [Lessons in Cerritos](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/cerritos) - [Lessons in Downey](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/downey) - [Lessons in El Segundo](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/el-segundo) - [Lessons in Hermosa Beach](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/hermosa-beach) - [Lessons in Lakewood](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/lakewood) - [Lessons in Long Beach](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/long-beach) - [Lessons in Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/los-angeles) - [Lessons in Montebello](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/montebello) - [Lessons in Rosemead](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/rosemead) - [Lessons in South Pasadena](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/areas/south-pasadena) - [The Links at Victoria Golf Course, Carson](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/the-links-at-victoria-golf-course-carson) - [Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course, Cerritos](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/iron-wood-nine-golf-course-cerritos) - [Los Amigos Golf Course, Downey](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/los-amigos-golf-course-downey) - [Rio Hondo Golf Club, Downey](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/rio-hondo-golf-club-downey) - [Topgolf El Segundo, El Segundo](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/topgolf-el-segundo) - [Beach City Golf Club, Hermosa Beach](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/beach-city-golf-club-hermosa-beach) - [Lakewood Country Club, Lakewood](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/lakewood-country-club-lakewood) - [Skylinks Golf Course, Long Beach](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/skylinks-golf-course-long-beach) - [Aroma Golf Course, Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/aroma-golf-course-los-angeles) - [Aroma Spa & Sports Golf Range, Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/aroma-spa-and-sports-golf-range-los-angeles) - [Chester Washington Golf Course, Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/chester-washington-golf-course-los-angeles) - [Maggie Hathaway Golf Course, Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/maggie-hathaway-golf-course-los-angeles) - [Swing Factory Golf LA, Los Angeles](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/swing-factory-golf-la-los-angeles) - [Topgolf Montebello, Montebello](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/topgolf-montebello) - [Whittier Narrows Golf Course, Rosemead](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/whittier-narrows-golf-course-rosemead) - [Arroyo Seco Golf Course, South Pasadena](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/locations/arroyo-seco-golf-course-south-pasadena) - [Agent instructions](https://sites.coach/joshua-matthews/llms.txt) ## Book through the API Joshua Matthews sells Golf lessons on this site.
