Derek's lesson really emphasized attention and focus on detail, which I found pretty helpful. Though I think the resets and dinking could still use some work, still, he's quite attentive during lessons and minimizes distractions. It's a subtle improvement, but I feel like I’m gaining better control over my paddle. If you're into refining specific skills with a calm, measured approach, maybe give Derek a shot.

The lesson with Derek was quite helpful overall, particularly in terms of improving my shot consistency and court awareness. Although I didn’t expect everything to turn around instantly, I feel more confident on the court after it. Still, I think a bit more focus on specific drills might help next time. But honestly, I’d suggest giving Derek a try if you’re aiming to refine your game gently.

Wow, I think the lesson with Derek really flew by, and I appreciated the focus on practical skills. Though I still want to develop better muscle memory, the lesson highlighted some key areas I can work on. To continue to improve, I’ll definitely try another lesson with him and see how my control and reflexes can get sharper. It was a helpful experience and worth the time.

I find Derek's focus on my weaknesses pretty helpful, and I learned a lot of techniques from him during the lesson. If you're looking to improve your pickleball skills with someone who pays attention to your specific needs, Derek’s definitely worth trying.

My daughter saw people playing at the local courts a thought she’d like to try it, so we found Derek and thought we’d give it a try. We were so fortunate because he was so great with her, really patient and kind. We might need one or two more lessons before she is confident enough to play, but we will be sure to book with Derek again.

I have tried a few coaches in the past who have helped me improve on some of the basics, but Derek has been able to break down some of the more advanced shots and strategies for me so that my game has broken through to the next level. I always look forward to our weekly lessons.
