Questions about group pickleball lessons
What ages do you teach?
Adults and seniors (18+). Most of my students are adults working on getting from 3.0 into the 4.0-4.5 range.
Can I start as a complete beginner?
Yes. We'll start with grips, serves, returns and footwork so you can rally in open play quickly, with clean technique you won't have to unlearn later.
Do I need my own pickleball paddle?
No. I have loaner paddles and bring balls. If you're thinking about buying one, I'm happy to recommend options for your game and budget.
Where do lessons take place?
Public courts in Austin: South Austin Recreation Center (1100 Cumberland Rd), Mary Frances Baylor Clarksville Pocket Park, and Brentwood Neighborhood Park. Pick the one closest to you when you book.
Can I take a lesson with a friend or family member?
Yes. Book the Bring a Friend package for 2-4 players. The per-person price drops as the group grows, and it's ideal for doubles partners.
What happens during the first lesson?
About 10 minutes of hitting so I can read your game, then focused reps on the 1-2 things costing you the most points. You leave with 2-3 specific things to practice before next time.
What ages and levels do you teach?
Adults and seniors (18+), from first-timers to 4.5. My specialty is helping 3.5-4.5 players sharpen their hands, speed-ups and transition game.
Do you offer video analysis?
Yes. I use PB Vision to break down match footage. Send a clip through Tape Review for a written breakdown with your top 3 fixes, or add film review to a 5-lesson pack.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before your lesson.
