Gabe is AMAZING!!! I've been working with him for over a year and he has taken my voice to a place I never imagined it could go. A truly professional teacher and musician, he started with me on the nuts and bolts of breath, really focusing on the mechanics of how to make my voice work, and we've moved through pitch and tone and into truly filling each song with emotional intent and expression. I started out thinking I just wanted to be on key and not wear my voice out, but Gabe is pushing me to a level I didn't even understand there was. I had to unlearn all the bad habits I'd accrued over the years. He's been great at identifying the subtle modifications I need to make to really optimize my sound. I didn't think I'd ever really be successful at playing live, but I have a few times and have big plans for the future. I've also massively improved my studio cuts. I feel SO lucky I found him!

I'm working with Gabe on the piano. The hardest part of learning is articulating exactly what it is you want to learn, how you are going to get there and how you measure that progress. Gabe helps you work all this out in an informal structure and the relaxed nature of the lessons let you enjoy the music. One of the very first things Gabe said to me was "You don't have to get a lot better. Just be a little better every day." It's great advice for the piano, work and every aspect of life. Having said that: Google could be in trouble if Gabe lives that advice too - they would need to add a 6th star for future reviews. Thanks for all your help, Gabe. Looking forward to working with you for may years to come.
