I usually recommend that beginners don’t buy a racquet until after they have taken a few lessons and get an idea about their love for the game. There are many types of racquets and you want to choose one you will love using.
What to bring: Dress for the weather, during the summer it’s hot so wear something cool, comfortable and modest. At other times when the weather ‘shifts’ a lot, bring a light jacket just in case.
Bring a hat, sunscreen and water. If you have a racquet you may bring it as well.
