Skip Press
Reading And Writing Tutor
I began teaching at UCLA Extension Writers Program, all classes there taught by working professionls. My class was called "How To Write What You Want & Sell What You Write” and it became a book of the same name which is still available. As a result of that course and boko I taught at Academy of Art in San Francisco, and then in several online forums. I then wrote the Complete Idiot's Guide to Screenwriting and taught a course on it for 10 years, available in 1500 schools. I love teaching.

“Skip is a great teacher, and is very responsive and knowledgable. As a first time author, I had no idea what I was doing and needed a coach to help me get through outlining the project. I found myself overwhelmed with the idea of writing an entire book, I wasn't sure how to organize the information I was trying to work with. Skip's style is incredibly encouraging, and he breaks down the process into simple, doable steps”

Where would I be without Skip? In retrospect, I’d probably be sitting on a few hundred pages of scattered thoughts—nothing like the cohesive project he worked on for me. He took on a gargantuan task and handled it with patience and absolute professionalism. Deliverables were beyond expectation.

Skip did what he said he would do in a timely and professional manner. His fee was appropriate and he finished on the promised date. He has made himself available for further questions and has been very responsive to my queries, again with a prompt response.

After placing second and the Austin Film Festival I remembered how Skip was the FIRST professional I sent the script to for coverage, and how much he helped me. Comments were right on the money.

They picked up my manuscript! If it wasn't for Skip, there would be no "Summer of the Crows." He gave me the correct input to turn my short story into a children's novel.
