What Do You Get For The Price?
Your payment covers more than on-court time. My sessions are structured and focused on the details that move your game forward:
Clear fundamentals: grips, footwork, contact point, and swing paths that hold up under pressure.
Court positioning and decision making: when to drop, drive, or dink, and where to stand so you can play smarter, not harder.
Drills with feedback: we isolate one skill at a time, then connect it to realistic points.
Ball machine reps: when it makes sense, I use the slinger machine to give you precise, repeatable feeds.
Gear support: I provide paddles and training tools. If you have your own setup, bring it and we will tune technique around what you use.
I run sessions at Waterways Pickleball Courts in Deerfield Beach. Lessons are outdoors, and we plan around the best light and conditions.

Tague Estes
Pickleball coach in Deerfield Beach, Florida
Hi, I’m Tague Estes — a passionate pickleball coach and competitive player.
I work primarily with beginner and intermediate players who want to feel more confident, consistent, and comfortable on the court. My coaching style focuses on simple, repeatable techniques that make the game easier to understand and more fun to play.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to take the next step in your game, my goal is to help you improve fundamentals, court positioning, and decision-making — without feeling overwhelmed or rushed.
I believe understanding why you hit certain shots is just as important as learning how to hit them. During lessons, we break things down clearly so you can play smarter, not harder.
My sessions are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to your goals — whether that’s improving consistency, learning the soft game, building confidence at the kitchen line, or playing better doubles with a partner.
I’m also the founder of All-American Paddle Co., a U.S.-made pickleball brand built around performance and craftsmanship — giving me a deep understanding of equipment, paddle design, and how it impacts your game.
I look forward to helping you enjoy pickleball more and play with confidence every time you step on the court.
3-Lesson Improvement Package, $50 per lesson, 3 sessions: Ideal for beginners and intermediates who want a short, focused boost. We choose one theme per session, for example serve and return depth, third shot options, and soft game consistency. This option creates momentum without a big commitment.
Weekly Coaching, $45 per lesson, 12 sessions: Best value for consistent progress. We build a training arc and check in weekly. Expect visible gains in footwork, transition play, and doubles patterns.
If you prefer to try a single session before committing, a standard private at $80 is a fine way to test the fit. After that, most students shift to a package to lock in the lower per-lesson cost.
Private Or Group: What Changes About Cost And Value?
Pricing is per person, and group rates automatically apply when multiple players book together. Group lessons stretch your dollars and are great when you and a friend want to learn doubles positioning and movement as a team.
Private lessons give you maximum reps and feedback. If you are fixing a specific issue, like popping up dinks or missing third shots, a private session is often the fastest path. If you want to work on partner communication, stacking, or switching, a small group can be the most realistic training environment.
I recommend a blended approach. Do a private to tune mechanics, then a group session to pressure test your skills in game-like patterns.
What Makes Coaching In Deerfield Beach Unique?
We have an active local community, and the Waterways Pickleball Courts location makes scheduling straightforward. Morning and evening slots are popular because they are cooler and less windy, which helps beginners focus on footwork and contact. For daytime sessions, we use the ball machine to get consistent feeds, even if the breeze picks up.
Because I provide equipment, you do not have to pause your progress while you shop. If you want paddle advice, I am also the founder of All-American Paddle Co., which gives me a deep understanding of paddle design and how it affects control, power, and feel. We can discuss gear after a lesson, and I will tie recommendations to your stroke mechanics and goals.
What Does A Typical 60-Minute Lesson Look Like?
Here is a common structure for a beginner or intermediate session:
5 minutes: Check-in on goals and quick warm-up.
10 minutes: Serve plus return depth and placement. You set the point tone here, so we groove a consistent start.
15 minutes: Third shot options. You will practice both drops and drives so you can read the ball and choose the higher percentage play.
15 minutes: Kitchen work. Dinks, resets, and counters with posture and paddle angle focus.
10 minutes: Game-like patterns. We connect the pieces with feeds or live points so you can feel the flow.
5 minutes: Recap and take-home drills, so you know exactly what to practice before the next session.
For players focused on doubles strategy, I layer in partner movement, when to crash, when to hold, and how to avoid the dreaded no-man's-land. If you book the Doubles Positioning and Strategy session, we sharpen roles on each point, reduce unforced errors, and build a team rhythm.
Real Feedback From Local Players
Adrienne: "Tague is an amazing teacher. I'm learning so much. He's patient and explains well."
Susan: "He explains how to execute the shots, positioning, and easy pointers to know what the strategies were. Great laidback personality."
Renee: "This coach effectively breaks down all the fundamentals in a clear, calm and confident approach to the game."
Across my local coaching, I have a 5-star average across 126 reviews and 190 completed lessons. The consistent theme in feedback is clarity and confidence on court, not just more swing thoughts.
How To Get The Most Value From Your Budget
If you want to stretch each dollar, here is what works for my students:
Choose a focus. Tell me your top one or two goals before we start. For example, stop popping up dinks, or improve third shot drops from the right side.
Stack two lessons close together. For many players, weeks 1 and 2 are the biggest jump. After that, weekly sessions keep momentum without overwhelming you.
Use the ball machine between sessions. If you have access, repeat the exact feed we used during your lesson. If not, I will give you a partner-friendly version of the drill.
Keep your paddle consistent. Constant gear changes make feedback fuzzy. Bring your paddle every time, or use mine consistently until you are ready to buy.
This approach makes a 3-lesson package go a long way and turns weekly coaching into a steady upward trend rather than spikes and dips.
Is The Cheaper Option Always Better?
Not necessarily. A single $80 private lesson may solve a chronic issue that has been costing you points for months, which is a great return. On the other hand, if you are building a foundation, $50-per-lesson packages or $45 weekly coaching help you lock in the basics through repetition.
In short, match the plan to your goal. If you are unsure, start with a private, then switch to a package once we have a clear roadmap.
Cost Example: A Beginner Building Confidence
A new player books the Intro to Pickleball for $50. We cover rules, scoring, and the soft game, then they schedule the 3-Lesson Improvement Package at $50 per session. Over four total lessons, they get consistent feedback, use the ball machine for drop practice, and walk into open play with a plan. Compared to four stand-alone privates, they save $120 and move forward faster because the sessions build on each other.
Another Example: Intermediate Doubles Tune-Up
Two partners book a focused session on Doubles Positioning and Strategy at $50 per person for 60 minutes. We work on serve and return targets, transition footwork, and who takes middle balls from different positions. They shift to Weekly Coaching at $45 per lesson to keep building chemistry. The cost is predictable, and the skill gains are steady because the reps are tailored to their team patterns.
Will These Prices Change?
I keep pricing simple and transparent. If I adjust rates, I update them in one place so there are no surprises. The best way to lock a lower per-lesson rate is to choose a package, especially Weekly Coaching at $45 per session.
